Our Story

As someone who experienced skin issues during her youth, Ethni Skincare CEO, Ciara L. Lee, felt the need to create a skincare line that was suitable for all skin types - minus the harsh chemicals. "As a young child, I remember not being able to wear certain clothing materials, perfumes, or even sit in the Sun because of my severe Eczema rashes. My Mother would buy ointments from our neighborhood pharmacy to remedy the rashes, but it would either take weeks to correct or simply not work at all," said Lee.  Lee's mother is a natural remedy guru and would research ingredients that could be used to soothe and repair her skin. "There would be times when I'd have a rash in both creases of my arms and the back of my legs and my mom would brown flour in a skillet and use it as a paste in the affected areas. I'd say 'Mom, what is this?' Over time, I'd begin following her footsteps and learning what natural ingredients benefited the skin and was able to find what worked for me."  This was when Ethni Skincare began. Launching in 2020, Lee felt it was imperative that those who experience skin deficiencies such as eczema, psoriasis and/or dry skin; have options when it comes to their skincare routine.  "There are a wide range of beauty brands that exist within this niche; however, there is an energy and vibration you feel when you know what brand caters specifically to you and that is what Ethni Skincare provides to our consumers."  Having over 10 years of consumer & branding experience, Lee knows what it is consumers are looking for when it comes to a "need". "You have to understand and relate to your audience in order to heavily influence it. I wouldn't have created Ethni if I didn't know what it was like to suffer in your skin - literally." As a self-indulging skin care enthusiast, Lee uses her products before introducing them to the masses. Each product is gently handmade-to-order with a sense of deed. "When I see an order come through, it is simply a reminder of how grateful I am of the holistic knowledge gained by my beautiful mother and how excited I am to send a tangible product filled with healing, nostalgia and scents of the earth."
